Privacy Notice

Who we are

MARKETR Technologies Inc. ("MARKETR", "we", "us") provides business websites and MARKETR OS, business operating software for service companies. This notice covers marketr.ca, MARKETR OS and related support and communications.

Our two roles

Controller / organization: for information about visitors, prospects and our business customers' account holders, MARKETR decides why and how information is used and is responsible under this notice.

Processor / service provider: for information our business customers enter into or collect through MARKETR OS — for example their staff, drivers, customers, passengers, trips and messages — MARKETR processes it on the customer's behalf and instructions under the Data Processing Addendum. The business customer is responsible for its own privacy notice and consents for that data. Requests about that data should go to the business; we will help them respond.

Information we collect

Contact and inquiry data: name, email, phone, company, package interest and the message you send us.

Account, admin and team data: names, business email, role, permissions, sign-in identifiers and authentication events.

Business data: company details, services, pricing, hours, branding and website content you provide.

Operational data entered by customers in MARKETR OS: staff and driver profiles, customer and passenger contact details, bookings, trips, quotes, routes, pickup and drop-off locations, schedules and notes.

Communications: messages, SMS and email content and metadata (sender, recipient, time, delivery status) sent through the service.

Calls and voice: where a voice feature is enabled and you grant microphone permission, audio is streamed for processing and may produce transcripts. See the AI, Voice & Communications Notice.

Quotes, invoices and payments: amounts, plan, invoice records and payment metadata. Card details are collected by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.

Device, log and support data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, errors, timestamps and support correspondence.

Cookies and similar technologies: essential storage and, only with your consent, analytics and advertising measurement. See the Cookie & Tracking Notice.

Sources

Directly from you; from your employer or the business that uses MARKETR OS; automatically from your device; and from service providers such as payment and communications providers.

How we use information

To provide, secure and support the website and MARKETR OS; to respond to inquiries and quotes; to bill and collect fees; to send transactional and service messages; to operate AI assistance you request; to measure and improve the service (with consent where required); to send marketing only with consent where required, and to honour opt-outs; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations.

Meaningful consent and withdrawal

Where consent is our basis, we explain what we collect and why at the time we ask. You may withdraw consent at any time — by changing Privacy Choices, unsubscribing, replying STOP to SMS, or contacting us — subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal may limit features that depend on that data.

Service providers

We use service providers for cloud hosting, database and authentication; AI model processing; email delivery; payments; analytics and advertising measurement (with consent); web fonts; and, where enabled in MARKETR OS, telecommunications and mapping. They process information on our instructions and under contractual protections. See the Subprocessor List.

AI providers

AI features send the text or audio needed to produce a response to an AI provider. Providers process it under their service terms. We describe each provider's data-use and model-training position in the Subprocessor List as confirmed, and we do not make broader promises than those terms support.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. If you consent to advertising measurement, the Meta Pixel may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time on Privacy Choices, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.

International transfers

MARKETR is based in Canada. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We use contractual and organizational safeguards for these transfers.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data for the life of the account and a limited period after; billing records as required by tax and accounting law; communications and logs for operational and security needs; customer-entered data as directed by the customer and the DPA. We then delete or de-identify it.

Safeguards

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level authorization, least-privilege access and provider security reviews. No system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, information about how it is used and shared, and withdrawal of consent. U.S. residents may have additional rights — see the U.S. State Privacy Notice. Send requests to hello@marketr.ca; we will verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Complaints

Contact us first at hello@marketr.ca. In Canada you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in British Columbia, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC. U.S. residents may contact their state attorney general or privacy agency.

Breach handling

If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate regulators as required by law, keep breach records, and notify affected business customers without undue delay under the DPA.

Children

MARKETR is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We will post updates here and change the date above. Material changes will be notified by email or in the service where appropriate.
